Kammetal provided Project Management, Design Development, Engineering and Fabrication services for the fabrication and installation of stairs, railings, decorative rain screen cladding, structurally glazed glass luminaires and led lighting brackets. The total material weight processed was approximately 40 tons of type 316 stainless steel in satin brushed #4 finish. Kammetal detailed and designed all of the structural brackets and connections for the stainless steel rain-screen cladding as well as the monumental stairs and miscellaneous handrails that comprise an arc of 500 linear feet. Kammetal was also responsible for, and aided in, project coordination amongst the various trades involved in installation of the project.

Kammetal was contacted by Chipotle Mexican Grill in 2008 to aid in the development and fabrication of a new furniture line for their dining room interiors. The scope of work included furniture designed and fabricated from hot rolled steel such as tables, stools as well as highly custom architectural lighting components. This prototype restaurant served as the design standard for all new restaurants to be produced. Since 2009, Kammetal has been fabricating approximately 60% of Chipotle’s total national and international rollout, equating to approximately 90 locations annually. Since 2012, Kammetal has been manufacturing hanging luminaires for all new (and remodeled) stores. Chipotle Mexican Grill has relied upon Kammetal for high quality workmanship, on time deliverables, attention to detail and value added services such as new product development, prototyping and in house engineering services.

Kammetal was hired by Allen Reiver of Elizabeth Street Gallery to retrofit his five story town house with an entirely new custom staircase. Kammetal was responsible for all phases of the project. Kammetal provided project management, design, engineering, fabrication and installation services.
The project scope was varied and included on site rigging of 2 ton 45’ beams in tight quarters within high tolerance. Staging and install procedure was critical to our on time delivery and zero accident install. Time was saved due to highly accurate field evaluations and coordination between our skilled install team and experienced CAD operators and project managers.
